Canada is the first major country to fully legalize the supply and retail distribution of recreational marijuana. This is a policy experiment that the entire world is watching. The purpose of this website is to collect and offer publicly available aggregated data on product selection and prices of different marijuana/cannabis goods across Canada. The website will also consist of month end economic commentaries and analysis of overall market trends, based on publicly available data and sources.

There will also be links to and discussion of different economic and social effects attributable to marijuana legalization. The objective is to be a repository of economic analyses and a mechanism for disseminating contemporary trends related to marijuana products, which should be informative to policymakers but useful to the private sector and general public as well.

As the data, analysis, and commentaries on this website are freely available and intended to be a public good, Cannabisdat does not assume responsibility for any possible errors.
